Now Comes the Test

Well, for those who don't already know my team and I won the WHAC conference.  We lost some games we shouldn't of have but no one is perfect.  We just won our first game in the conference tournament today, and boy did we play ugly.  I don't think anyone played a good game.  We were just of sync in all areas; and i don't think i have seen coach so mad, though he should be because we were not mentally into it.  All i know is that we cannot play like that again other wise were screwed once nationals comes around.  Please continue to pray for our team and I hope to see some of you at my game.
Something That I learned from last week at church would have to be; self control and perseverance.  We need to be able to look at the temptations in our lives and be able to say no to ourselves.  No Im not going to look at porn, or no I'm not going to have a sip of that or no I'm not going to wastefully spend my money on that.  Once we are able to control what we do, in the moment then we need to be able to persevere through it and learn not to struggle.  God is always there giving us the tools to succeed, its just we need to realize that he is there waiting for us to do something about it and help us, we have to take the first step then God will help us..

 I Love You all..

Shout out to my Boys in Germany,  K Viss and Johnny boy.. Love you guys, i hope this trip thing works out

How We Grow

The past three weeks at Church have been, in my own thoughts, the beginning of spiritual growth both personally and in my personal relationship with God.  Changing an aspect in ones life can seem to be one of the most challenging feats that one may come across to.  Many times people find it too difficult a road to walk on, when trying to change, and because it seems so difficult people seem to try and get off right at the first off ramp.
Change doesn't happen over night.  You cant just say your going to stop smoking, stop drinking alcohol, stop pornography, stop being self centered and so on.  Change is a daily battle.  Its a battle that we can not win our own.  We need help, we need Gods help.  What many people don't  know is that God gives us all the necessary tools to accomplish such goals., we just have to put them into action.  I for one have fallen many times, but I will surely keep on traveling down the road that leads me to change.  We can always improve.

2 Peter 1:3-9
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.  For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self control; and to self control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.  But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

What's Next

Today is another cold day in our wonderful state of Michigan.  Winter in Michigan can  play many cruel tricks on ones psyche.  I can be cold one day and seem to warm up the next, melting away all the snow and then have a blizzard the next day only to replenish what was just lost.  I do not believe we have had a winter such as this for at least 10 years.  I just can't wait until spring comes around because if we have another long winter like this you may find me strangling the ground-hog

Though I believe I had told everyone thank you for coming to my game; but if I had forgot to say thank you,  I wish do do so now.  Currently my team and I are rated 12th in the nation. We have two more regular season games and then conference tournament hits.  We seem to have trouble playing on the road.  I really do not know what it is but it is a wierd funk that we need to get out of.  I ask that everyone that reads this to please pray for my team and I to play to the full potential that God has given us.

My First entry

Well today is my first day trying to set this blog up.  My brother Ryan and his wife Kara have set up a blog, which allows friends and family to see what's new in their lives.  I hope that I will be able to do the same.  Here I hope to talk about things I have learned in my life from personal experience, Church and from life in general.  I hope to update as frequent as possible so that those who wish to know what's going on in my life will know.  I also hope that my sentence structure improves.  Talk to you all soon :-)
